THE EXPOSE DEMENTIA TOUR

In March 2024, we kicked off the screenings of Remember Me: Dementia in the African American Community in Baltimore. After watching this documentary that features interviews with people living with dementia, caregivers, researchers, and dementia experts, we conducted an impactful Q&A session with director C. Nathaniel Brown and community partners Johns Hopkins Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, the Baltimore City Health Department and Alzheimer's Association Greater Maryland Chapter.

That format became the foundation for what we call the Expose Dementia Tour where we traveled around the country, submitted to film festivals around the world, and create platforms to have dialogue about dementia.

AROUND THE WORLD
THE VISION

The vision is to take this valuable information around the country - ultimately the world - and host community events that engage people where they are with all the topics covered in the documentary. It provides opportunities for people to see themselves in the stories being shared, discover resources they might not have known were available, and reduce the stigma of dementia to have more candid conversations about something that is becoming a crisis. The vision continues to expand as we discover the specific needs in the community and medical community, such as overcoming disparities in clinical trials and research.
