The Expose Dementia Conference 2025 - "The A.R.T. of the Matter" is a 3-day conference at the Maritime Conference Center filled with arts and media-focused activities, resources and speakers to educate on the impact of dementia and how we can improve the quality of life for those living with dementia and those caring for individuals with dementia. Focused on lifestyle changes that lead to better brain health, conference sessions include:

  • The State of Dementia panel discussion

  • The Art of the Matter panel with art, music and dance therapists

  • Crafting Your Dementia Story

  • Caring for the Caregiver

  • and much more

In addition to interactive educational sessions and workshops with industry experts, the conference features: a comedy show headlined by comedienne and actress Cocoa Brown, who was a caregiver for her father; an art exhibit featuring artwork and photographs by people living with dementia and those affected by dementia; a brain health and dementia film festival; spoken word presentations; and more.

Our dementia resource fair will consist of dementia organizations, research projects, authors, and memory care facilities.

Film Festival

During the conference, attendees will see 6 award-winning movies with dementia or brain health themes from amazing filmmakers. The film festival is sponsored by Dementia Spring.

Art Exhibit

Be inspired and motivated by a special exhibit featuring artwork by people living with dementia, caregivers, dementia experts such as art therapists, and others impacted by dementia. The exhibit will include drawings, paintings, photographs and more.
